Some of the most inspiring speeches that you might have never heard

A few months ago, I came across an interesting speech titled, “Why we choke under pressure – and how to avoid it.” 

The speech was delivered in 2017 by Sian Leah Beilock, an accomplished cognitive scientist, as part of a series of TED talks at the TEDMED annual conference. Before hearing this speech, I had never heard of Sian or the insightful series by TEDMED; where professionals in the medical field shared their research in a bid to help solve some of the most common human challenges. As I listened and later read the transcript, I couldn’t help but marvel at the great insight contained therein.

As I listened to that talk, a jolt of inspiration urged me to share the speeches in history that have helped shape my life with the hope that they will inspire someone else. Some of them are hidden gems while a few famous ones might make it onto the list.

They all try to provide answers to questions that have plagued most of humanity for a long time.
